Why we explain every inclusion separately
‘All inclusive’ is a phrase that promises a lot on this coast and means little. That is why rafting from Side carries not a word but a list — and here we explain what each item on that list means on the day itself. If something is not here, it is not included; that is the simple rule.
The price is €18 per person, €12 for children aged 4 to 11. Everything that follows is inside that number.
The transfer: both ways, from your hotel
Included here means: you are collected at your hotel and dropped back at the same hotel after the tour, in an air-conditioned vehicle. The pickup area covers Side and the surrounding resorts — Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Gündoğdu, Titreyengöl and Sorgun — with no surcharge for the district. Pickup runs approximately between 08:00 and 08:30, and your exact time is confirmed personally after booking.
Not included in the transfer: drinks on the way. A bottle of your own for the bus is no mistake.
Guide, briefing and practice
A professional guide sits in every raft — not one for the whole group, but one with you, for the full 12 kilometres. They steer, they call the commands, they decide where you swim. It is the inclusion that justifies the price most, and it comes at no extra charge.
Before the water it includes the safety briefing — how to hold the paddle, the commands, how to sit, what to do if you fall in — and the practice session on calm water. Both are part of the tour, not an extra you add on.
Equipment: helmet, life jacket, paddle
The three things you wear and hold on the river come from the base: helmet, life jacket and paddle. They are fitted at the base, in children's sizes for ages 4 to 11, and they meet international standards. The life jacket is also the reason non-swimmers can take part.
Your shoes are not part of the equipment: you need your own, ones that stay on your feet and can get wet. If you have none, you rent or buy water shoes at the base — that is an extra, not part of the kit. The same goes for a wetsuit: it is not part of the kit, but optional — you can hire one at the base for an extra fee.
Park entrance, insurance, lunch
Three items that like to appear as a surprise on other offers are inside this one. First, the entrance fees for Köprülü Canyon National Park on the 12-kilometre route — you pay nothing at the gate. Second, accident and activity insurance: it is included, with nothing for you to present or fill in.
Third, lunch: a hot meal at the restaurant on the riverbank, after the run. What is not included with it are the drinks — not with the meal and not at any other point in the day. They are sold at the base, at prices the operator sets there.
On the combo packages: the same inclusions, plus the activity
Every package on the Side rafting packages page includes the same transfer, the same guides, the same equipment, the same insurance and the same lunch as the rafting-only tour. Added to that, for zipline, quad and buggy, is the activity itself with briefing and test drive, helmet and safety equipment, and instructor supervision.
What stays extra on the packages too: drinks, water shoes, photos, a wetsuit if you hire one — and the bandana for the dusty quad or buggy track. If you only want the river, rafting from Side at €18 gives you the same kit.
